The Wistful Petal
The rain does not fall so much as it is pressed against the glass, a thick, grey curtain that blurs the neon signs of the city into smears of electric blue and sickly pink. You are sitting in the back of a black sedan, the leather seat cold against your spine, while the world outside rushes by in streaks of wet asphalt and passing headlights. Your hands are clasped in your lap. They are steady....
