The iron key was cold in your hand. It tasted of rust and rain. You held it up to the grey light filtering through the high, narrow windows of the infirmary. The metal bit into your palm, a sharp, familiar pain. You were a soldier. You were also a sinner. The distinction had blurred in the damp stone halls of the Citadel.
