The rain hammers the stone. You feel it on your face. Cold. Sharp. Like needles. You hold the sword. It is heavy. The steel is dark. It drinks the light. You are not a man. Not anymore. You are a wall. A shield. A thing of iron and duty. The city sleeps below. Or perhaps it screams. You cannot tell. The sound is gone. Only the rain remains. And the weight. "Is he coming?" The voice is soft....
