The Faded Photograph
Mara stood at the edge of the gravel lot, her shoes sinking into the wet dirt. It was raining. Not the polite drizzle of city streets, but a heavy, gray curtain that blurred the line between the asphalt and the sky. She held a photograph in her hand.
